Frequently Asked Questions

  • HOW SAFE IS THE CAMP?
    Extremely safe with our security team of trained warriors on duty 24 hours a day, well lit public areas and torches to find your way between facilities at night.
  • DO YOU HAVE A BAR AND WHAT DRINKS ARE AVAILABLE FOR GUESTS?
    Yes, we have a full bar with cold and warm drinks, including local Kenya beers, South African wine and ciders, brand name spirits, as well as nonalcohol soda, juice, water. Our specialty cocktails created from the fruit harvest of our farm is a nice way to settle in to the sundowner views from our restaurant deck.
  • WHAT PAYMENT TYPES DO YOU ACCEPT FOR ANY ADDITIONAL EXTRAS?
    We accept cash in USD and Kenya Shillings, and the local “MPesa” phone transfer service for incidentals onsite. For lodging, safari, and other higher cost payments, we can also send a link to our online credit card payment page. We can also accept bank transfers to US or Kenya bank accounts
  • IS THE WARRIOR TRAINING SUITABLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN?
    Yes, we customize the experience for all age groups and interests. While you sometimes join with other guests in activities, in most cases you are doing activities with just the people traveling in your group, which allows for personalized experiences.
  • DO YOU PROVIDE AN ITINERARY FOR GUEST STAYS?
    Yes, we communicate our recommended plans for your stay, and work with you to customize the details for your interests, activity level, and time allowed. We also provide full safari planning, such as airport pickup, Nairobi hotel and activities, safari in Amboseli, Nakuru, Ol Pejeta rhino conservancy…. anywhere in East Africa such as Uganda gorilla trek, Tanzania for Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar, etc.
  • HOW EASY IS THE CAMP TO GET TO?
    The camp is an easy drive from Nairobi (3-4 hours) on tarmac road all the way until our dirt access road (8km). We offer private car transfer service, or we can suggest public busses that arrive to our nearest town and we collect you from there. From Masai Mara, we can also arrange a private car to pick you up at any of the camps and lodges, or the airstrips.
  • WHAT IS YOUR PAYMENT, CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY?"
    We require a deposit of 50% to confirm your booking, with final payment due 8 weeks before departure. For shorter lead times, we require 100% payment before arrival. Credit card payments are done online, with a service fee charged by the bank. Cancellations must be made in writing to our office, by the person who reserved the booking, with the following costs: More than 60 days prior to travel: 20% of deposit paid plus any other unrecoverable costs Between 21 and 59 days: 50% of total trip cost plus any other unrecoverable costs Less than 21 days: 100% of total trip cost We strongly advise you to take suitable insurance to cover potential losses.

  • ARE THERE ANY RULES ON TIPPING THE LOCAL STAFF?
    All tipping is at the guest’s discretion, to reflect the level of appreciation for the services received. We can provide suggested guidelines, and can assure you that the staff appreciates any gesture of extra support if they deliver good service.
  • DOES THE STAY INCLUDE ALL FOOD?
    We offer a variety of meal plans, from full board (all meals included) to self catered camping (no meals or cooking gear included) as well as ala carte meals purchased from our restaurant. Our accommodation pricing provides details on the options, and we welcome you to contact us if you have any questions or requests regarding meal service
  • WHAT PROTECTIONS DO YOU HAVE IN PLACE FOR COVID-19?
    Our camp staff, drivers and guides are 100% vaccinated for COVID-19. We also follow all ministry of health guidelines for masks, hand washing, sanitizing, etc. Our facilities include all open air dining and restrooms, allowing for fresh air circulation. Groups can easily be accommodated for private dining on their terrace, outdoors, or greatly distanced in our dining and deck.
